Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. Overview
Deadpoint (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a climbing training application. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Deadpoint is currently in early development. All training data — your profile, workout logs, injury records, and progress — is stored locally on your device only (browser localStorage). We have no server-side storage and do not transmit your training data anywhere.
2. Data We Currently Collect
In the current version of Deadpoint (pre-accounts), we collect:
- Nothing server-side. Your training data stays entirely in your browser. Clearing your browser data deletes it.
- No cookies beyond those required for page navigation.
- No analytics or third-party tracking scripts are loaded.
3. Data We Will Collect (Post-Launch)
When accounts and cloud sync are launched, we intend to collect:
- Account information: email address and password (hashed, never stored in plain text).
- Training data: workout logs, injury records, session history, and progress metrics you enter.
- Usage data: anonymised feature usage to improve the app (e.g. which training phases are most used). No personally identifiable information is attached to usage events.
- Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store card details.
We will update this policy before collecting any of the above.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To generate and adapt your training plan.
- To track your progress over time.
- To provide injury rehab protocol recommendations.
- To process subscription payments via Stripe.
- To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Currently: all data is on your device. Clearing your browser storage removes it permanently.
Post-launch: you will be able to request full account deletion at any time via the app settings. We will delete all personally identifiable data within 30 days of your request.
6. Third-Party Services
We use or plan to use the following third-party services:
- Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase (planned) — authentication and database. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
7. Children's Privacy
Deadpoint is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy when meaningful changes occur — particularly before launching cloud accounts. We will notify active users by email of material changes.
