Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Agreement
By using Deadpoint (“the app”, “the service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. Not Medical Advice
Deadpoint is not a medical service. The training plans, rehab protocols, load recommendations, and injury guidance in this app are for informational and educational purposes only. They are based on published sports science research but are not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or physiotherapy.
Before starting any training programme — especially following an injury — consult a qualified sports physiotherapist or doctor. If you experience sharp pain, numbness, swelling, or any concerning symptom, stop training and seek medical advice immediately.
We specifically note: Grade III+ pulley injuries, significant shoulder instability, and lower back disc injuries should be assessed by a clinician before following any self-guided protocol.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Deadpoint. If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
4. Your Account
When accounts are available, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary training algorithms from the app.
- Use the app to build a competing product.
- Share account credentials or attempt to circumvent payment.
- Interfere with the app's servers, infrastructure, or other users.
6. Subscription and Payments
Deadpoint offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
7. Intellectual Property
The Deadpoint app, training algorithms, research synthesis, and UI are our intellectual property. The underlying research studies are cited and belong to their respective authors.
Your training data (logs, notes, injury records) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over it.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Deadpoint is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the training plans will achieve any specific result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the app — including following any training or rehab protocol. Climbing is an inherently risky sport; you participate at your own risk.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, or discontinue the service entirely, with reasonable notice where possible. You may delete your account at any time.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; failing that, through binding arbitration.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email (when accounts exist) and by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
